When I'm in home tourney's and take a bad beat or do a bad play, I usually throw my cards quite hard. They are my cards and my poker buddies find it pretty amusing. So my question is: How can I improve my aim?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I will do that. And I think I will start throwing one at a time. That way I can aim the 2nd one at the pokerbuddy who laughs first

This is exactly what I need! I also read the customer reviews of the book, and listen to what one guy wrote:
'As a self-styled ninja, martial artist, amateur magician, professional gambler, and historian, I find many of the techniques mentioned in this book extremely useful.'
Hope I don't catch a runner-runner and give this guy a bad beat.
Thanks a bunch! :D

I need help on this too. I deal Blackjack and was invited to a game with a couple of friends and poker dealers once where the dealing moved around...I had honest to God the WORST PITCH at the table. I couldn't even count the amount of times I flipped someone's card over.

Me and my friends used to play a game we liked to call "trashcan poker." We'd set a little desk trashcan in front of a wall and stand about 20 feet back and one-by-one throw an entire deck of cards at the trashcan. When you're done throwing you make your best poker hand with the cards that made it in the trashcan. Then it's the next person's turn to try to beat your hand.
This is how i used all my paper decks after I switched to plastic cards

That does sound like fun. I have about 8 Bicycle decks at home that have been collecting dust since I got my Kems. Maybe I can talk the guys into a little "trash" play tonight.
Here's an idea that arose at a drunken tourney this past weekend. We called it Virginia Hold 'em (that's where we live). You deal the flop and the turn first. Then, every player gets one card and there's a round of betting. Then, you get dealt your second card, another round of betting, and then deal the river followed by a final round of betting. We didn't actually play, but it sounded different and kind of fun and a few people thought we should try it. It might be fun for a change of pace every once in a while.
