Poker Table Purchasing

Posted Wed Apr 13, 2005 7:34 pm GMT by ahopen78
I need expert advice on poker tables.

this is the table I am looking at:

http://www.pokerchipspokertables.com/products.html

It goes for $350 shipped.

The manufacturer also sells them on eBay for a little bit less:
~$320 shipped.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=35749&item=6167786999&rd=1

I am wondering if anyone has experience with this type of table.
Because it folds in the middle I am concerned that wear and tear would harm the felt. And that also maybe the felt can not be as taught (sp?)...

Any suggestions for a decent table on a budget?

I got mine from www.pokerprotables.com. He has them on his website for 300 I think but sells em on ebay for 245. They are 4ft by 8ft. Very nice quality. Perfect for what I wanted them for. HUGE compared to most others. You can see pics of mine in the link in my sig. Here is his current ebay link http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZpokerprotables

I dont think their is any chance of the "felt" being damaged due to the table folding. Ive made a couple of tables and the material is very durable and can handle being folded, over and over.

The tables are also made of good materials. Good plywood and not particle board or MDF, and the rail looks great. I would say that these are also good prices for what you are getting. If you built your own table, youd be in it for $150 in materials alone. Add tools/time and your first table might look like your "first table" which makes this look even better.
