Pretty good night last night playing 1-2NL. Bunch of donkeys w/some nit rock limping in the button w/queens...that kind of night.

Played from 8 to 6 and picked out two hands that I butchered.

Hand 1: (we're 5-handed)

J Club 10 Spade (~$600)
I open for $17 get called by super nit in the SB. (~$900)

Flop:8 Spade 8 Club 9 Spade
He checks, i bet $25 ( standard continuation bet) he thinks and calls.

Turn: Jx
He checks, i bet $25 and he check raises me to $50.
I call.

River: 10 Diamond
check, check.

Hand 2: ($~800) I open UTG w/10 10 for $12
Super solid asian guy raises to $50. (~$700)
Get one idiot calling near the CO and I call.

Flop: 5 3 2r ($150)
I check, asian bets $75, fold, i call.

Turn: 3 Heart ($300)
I lead for $80, he calls quickly.

River: 9 Club ($460)
I lead for $100, he calls.

Thoughts?

And yes, I made these plays. Shocked

Hand one looks pretty close to how I would have played it. The turn and river really screwed you though.

Hand two, if he is a solid player I would have folded to the $75 bet post flop. Of course I say that sitting here reading. If I was at the table I have a hard time laying that down. I know it's the right thing to do but it's something I am fighting with.
