We're playing a fun home game, 6 players.
I've got: 3c 8c
Jeff's got: Ad Ac
Pj's got: Kd Kh
I get to the flop very cheaply, my friends were both slow playing.
Flop comes out: Kc 3c 6c
Everyone else raises and reraises, I call every bet and stay in.
Turn: 10s (not too bad, safe card.)
Everyone else bets like crazy, I call again.
River: 4h (At this point, I just stay in.)
My buddy to my right, Pj, flips over his Kings, he's got three of a kind. I flip over my 3-8, and my buddy Jeff yells in anger with his pocket Aces. They both got really screwed. Although with the obvious flush on the board, they both should have played more carefully.

Tell me that you were worried about a higher flush though right? With all the raising and re-raising that would be a hard call if you ask me. I mean you won it nice, but playing that hand over and over might come back to bite you. What would you have done if say a 9c came out after the flop? I know it didn't but you would have had a lot of money in the pot to have any club come later.

why did you play the hand? 36s is crummy enough without callling every raise pre-flop... but hey it worked so i guess you got amazingly lucky..... tell them to read zen & art of poker to not get pissed when that stuff happens

Actually, the flop must've been 5c rather than 3c. My fault.
I didn't have to call any raises pre-flop. I was in the small blind, so I only had half the blind left to call (why my friends didn't bet with KK and AA, I have NO idea). I usually wouldn't play 36s, but I was switching it up my play a bit. I don't want to be predictable and only play the top ten starting hands.
Yeah, I was worried about a higher flush. When my friend on my right bet after the flop, I thought he had a set of kings. I knew I had him beat already in the hand, so I just stayed in.
If a 9c came out after the flop, I would've been really screwed. Jeff would have had the nuts with his Ac. I guess I got pretty lucky.
But considering it now, my friends should have seen the obvious flush on the flop. If they were going to bet, then they shouldn't have done it so recklessly. I played the hand pretty reluctantly though, everyone else thought I had the weakest hand up until the showdown.
