I had a pretty horrible string of plays today, leading me to be down about 220 on the 2/4 tables at pacific. It's pretty rare to find me down more than a few bucks on those tables, let alone that significantly, but this hand made it all worth while.
Dealt QQ on the button, I raise, and find myself getting capped by 4 others. Flop comes down rainbow, A-Q-2. I'm CAPPED again by the others.. Naturally I'm fearing aces, but I figure my luck can't be horrible forever, right? Turn brings a 2, which is the second diamond on the board. A couple people have dropped out already, but again I'm capped. (22? AA? Crap...) River brings a 3 of diamonds, completing what I hope is someones flush. I raise, one drops out, another reraises, and I three-bet, with him calling.
Turns out one had an AQ, another a 2, and the one who called all the way down hit his river flush.
I took down a nice 120 buck pot in 2/4. That made me happy =)
