Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

I'm guessing you're referring to the one at the Daytona Kennel Club. I drove out there one night from Orlando. Being primarily an NL player, this place was my worst nightmare. The highest stakes I could get were $1/2 limit tables. I've played limit at around these stakes before, but these were the loosest players I'd ever seen. Bottom pair was a dream come true, because they just knew they were destined to catch that second pair. Gutshot straight draws filled out on the river for those who called 3 bets on the flop and turn.
I may be bitter since I ended up in the red, but from my point of view, the only one making out was the dealer. No one seemed to be building much of a stack at all. If limit is your thing, and you're used to this kind of play, then it's probably your dream come true. Otherwise, I'd stay away unless you just have to satisfy that poker urge.

Playing in tournaments is a way to get around Florida's $2 max bet with a limit of three raises per round law.
