played a game last night, was agreed that it would be winner takes all (£25 in total). I take out one player and the guy who is left takes out the other two smaller stacked players. He is my main competition - is a disciplined player and rarelly bluffs, i can never get a read on him and he never seems to play any hand i'm in.
So i'm sitting with a much larger amount of chips then him. First hand he goes all in after the flop, i call with Q3, flop Qxx. he is beat untill the river where he makes two pair! so doubling up he tightens his game even more! folding every time i raise and waiting for a great hand to go all in again.
Eventually we agree to split the pot £12.50 each (the other players getting bored watching us play), i'm lucky he actually had just more than me
My question is how should i of played him? with two players my poker seems to pretty bad, espically when i'm chip leader, i want to call anything. tips please!

You don't mention the size of the blinds which is all important when playing heads up. If the blinds are small then this allows more creative play. If the blinds are huge (which in tournament play they often are when it comes down to the last 2) then aggression becomes probably the most important factor.

Pretty low blinds compared to the stacks, no wonder the other players got a little bored
If he is tight and bluffs little I'd just push him alot, and be willing to lay down if he represented good cards. Plus I'd slowplay with monsters if he is willing to go all in on a weak flop like he did here.

With an average of 7000 chips the Big Blind represents only 1/35th of the average stack. This is extremely low for heads up tournament play.
