First Casino tourny help please |

Hey guys I don't post really on here but you guys have helped me out a ton. This will prob be my first and last post but I would really like a few tips or someone who has some experience in the casino. I play partypoker about every day, usually in the 10 and 20 SNG games. I place in the green about 8 out of 10 games...I feel very confident about my game on there. I however am very curious to how they play in the casinos. I play a VERY tight game. The buy-in at the tournament in tunica is 120 bucks. Just curious on how loose tournament play....thanks in advance for any advice.

Low limit tourneys like you mentioned above always have a decent number of very loose players in the field. Is this tournament a freezeout or are there rebuys? If there are rebuys, play will certainly be even looser with some people calling all ins on straight and flush draws. I also am a fairly tight player and have played about 10 live tournaments. The best advice I can give you is to play fairly tight in the early stages of the game and get a feel for the table. Position, as you know, is tremendously important. You may want to take a cheap flop with middle suited connectors in late position. As the tourney progresses, loosen up your play a little. Also, don't get married to hands like AK if you miss the flop.
The main thing is to stay focused, but at the same time have fun!
