Live game.
I'm somewhat short-stacked. I'm dealt 99, I go all-in. One caller, he shows AK.
Flop:
3-3-A
Turn:
3
River:
9
This is crazy!! I had 2 outs, and one more to get a tie.

I think that his point was that he delivered a bad beat. At the turn, AK was around a 94% favorite. Fortunately (for the 99), he was on the giving end of the bad beat, instead of the receiving end.

I had 99. Unfortunately, my double-up wasn't enough to make a comeback... brought lots of excitement though.

Ah ok I am just used to people complaining about their bad beats, not giving them.

I watched a high stakes table.
Button raises 1000 or so
BB calls
5 - 6 -10
Button raises 20000 (!)
BB goes all in for about 80k more
Button calls.
Button has JJ
BB has 5-6
turn is a J
100,000$ bad beat!!
That one always puts stuff in perspective for me.

The guy with J,J also could have hit a 10 or 2 running cards that are the same. So it want like he was just down to the jacks for outs. The jacks had a 25.5% (I assumed suits since they shouldnt matter much) so I wouldnt really consider it a bad beat. If the flop came 5,6,6 then it would have been a bad beat cause he was limited to catching a jack.

Well, ofcourse it is not a runner-runner straight flush over quad aces but still its a shitload of money. I just find consolation in the fact that these things happen to all poker players
