Yesterday I was getting sleepy while I was playing .25/.50 NL. I was dealt pocket 8's in mid position so I raised it to $1.50 to drive some players out. I got one caller and the flop came 5 7 Jack. The caller bet out for $3 when I noticed my pocket 8's were really a 6 8!  Well dang. Now what? I had 4 to a straight and had already misplayed my hand, so I decided to see if the poker gods were teasing me. I called and hit a 4 on the turn for the straight. Ended up taking about $20 off of the other guy. I almost felt bad for that. To be honest, when I explained why I played that hand, he was very gracious. I'm sure he was cursing me in real life though.

That's funny. Reminds me of the other day when I was multitabling. Got dealt rockets at one table and went to hit raise but the other table popped up and I ended up raising that one preflop with 83o. Only got one caller and flop was QJJ or something like that, I figured I might as well go with it and bet out, took it down there 8)
