I now understand how important position is

I am at the Trop for the sunday $100 + $20 PLUS 1 $100 add on tournament. 101 people enter, 70 add-ons for a guarnateed 1st place of $10,000.

Make it down to 2 tables, about 18 people left. I am number 2 chip leader with #1 sitting at my table. I am in mp. Under the gun is a short stack who goes all in. Now, I want to isolate this short stack so I call all in with K J. Chip leader is three spots to my left in lp. He stares and thinks and calls. Turns over Pocket Queens. They hold up. OUCH!!!!!!!

What a stupid mistake. I wasn't to mad as I had two mracle races I should have lost. I was on the shorter end of chips. I get J 7 offsuit and attempt to steal the blinds and ante's by going all in. I get called by the chip leader who has pocket Kings. I pull a miracle staight on the river to almost triple up and survive.

Then, 4 or 5 hands later, I get J :s: 4 :s: and once again attempt to steal the blinds and antes. I get called by someone I just barely have covered. He had A Q. Wouldn't ya know it, I get a miracle J on the river to win.

Stealing the blinds and antes are so important at the late stages of tournaments.

I truly do undersand the importance of position and paying attention relative to chip leaders.
