Harrington on Hold'em

Picked this up over the weekend and spent most of Sunday reading it.

I think it's the best poker book I've come across. It's completely geared to NL tournaments, for those that don't know, but the hand analysis and the problems are excellent. I highly recommend it even if tournaments or NL aren't your kettle of fish.

Does anyone know when Volume 2 is coming out?

I read it too, and made the final table in my next 2 MTT's! Great read.

It seems to me that I read recently that Vol. 2 is due in May.

Its put you in two final tables in MTTs? It's not a book of magic tricks.

The book isn't magical... it's his hat. It's gotta be.

Gol4: You'll keep up that streak as long as you don't start breathing out of the wrong eyelid.

I brought it a couple of weeks ago after it was recommended in another thread (sorry I can’t remember by who to give them credit).

I’m only a few pages in but found it to be very good. A lot of the stuff is covered in other books I have but I’m still glad I brought it.

I got it when it first came out hot off the 2+2 store. One of the best books to date for sure

I bought Lee Jones' book which was great but since I rarely play limit (once when in Vegas!) I am tempted by the Harrington book.

Been reading good things about the Harrington book all over. I just got it in from Amazon the other day and the first chapter or two seems pretty good thus far. Gotta finish Theory of Poker first though. Smile

I'm about two-thirds finished, and it is without question an excellent book. I've sang its praises in a couple or three threads over the past couple of weeks.

Gol4pro's comment just struck me as funny, I wasn't disparaging the book or Gol4pro.

Come to think of it, maybe there is something to the magic idea because I've been on one hell of an run on $10 and $20 SnGs over at UB for the past few days. Something like nine first places and a third in 13 attempts.
