I am playing .25/.50 NL, on the button and limp with QJ off. Flop is 8,J,Q. dude bets 2.00. He has been either playing premiuims or stealing with junk all night, so I put him on AQ, or rags. I raise to 4.00, reraise to 8.00. I move in for 45.00 ( like a dummy) and dude calls ....... with 9,10 GRRRRRRR. turn 8 river 8. Unbelivable. And for those of you who think that this was another example of online sillyness....... nope. Happened in our Sat night game.

last night I limped in w/ 22 on a $5/10 limit game. Flop was K 10 2 w/ 2 diamonds. Great-flopped a set, still a str8 and flush draw out there. I call a bet after the flop. Turn-K, nice now I have a boat, I check raise, 2 callers big pot! River, Q, still good, I bet, am raised, reraise and the other dude caps. He has QQ. OUCH! I wouldnt have felt so bad if he had K 10, KK or 10 10, but to call to the river w/ QQ....grrrrrrrrrrr. $170 pot lost on runner runner.

Well, it really wasn't TOO bad of a beat. On the flop, you had six outs, that's about a 22% chance to get a J or Q on turn or river. When the turn came 8, you had 8 outs, about a 15% chance. So really, you had about a 2/9 chance, which isn't TOO bad. If it was something like Boat vs. Boat, with one catching a four-of-a-kind, it would be much, much worse. Still, I wouldn't want to be in his position :D

My first thought, '' Must of been online'' but guess not. Though this is quite common online.

This same guy just got me back in our first live tournament. We had 12 (8 flaked out) and he and I ended heads up. I had a 3 to 1 chip lead, so I start pushing trying to pick up the blinds, which are 400-800. His first 3 hands, AK, A10, K10. Needless to say, my chip lead was nearly gone. hand 4.... me Q10 suited, Him ??. Me... raise. Him... reraise. Me.... Im tired of getting pushed around...allin. Him (flipping over QQ) call. Me.....DOH!!!! I still won 145 after a 25 buyin. not bad.

That sounds kind of like the S&G I was in last night. Whenever I was in a hand, it always seemed to be me and one other guy. We both took turns winning but a couple hands that hurt me are still in my head. One big one, I limped in on the big blind with K 5 suited. The flop came 5 A K. Alright, looks good. With four people left I check and the guy I'm talking about checks behind me. Last guy bets, I check-raise and the guy next to me re-raises me. Everyone got out of the way and again it's down to me and him. The turn and river were junk and there was no flush or straight there so I put him on pockets. Yep pocket A's and there goes about 600 TC. It got down to him and I at the end and I ended 2nd when my pocket 9's didn't hold to his Q 3 when a Q came on the turn. Oh well
