3 handed. Every time I'm SB, heads up with BB, he bets or calls.
3 handed. I start off as chip leader. When I am SB vs. BB, play my usual way of betting every flop, and checking the turn if called, but BB calls everytime then bets the turn when I check.
I try betting the turn as well, but he calls again, so then I get to the river, bet again, and he takes the pot with a weak pair. Next hand I decide to be more aggressive. I check-raise him on the flop. he calls my raise and calls my turn bet and my river bet, and takes the pot with ace high.
Screw this... I'm not going to play against him unless I have a hand. So now every hand goes like this: I miss the flop and check, he bets, I fold. This happens about 3 times, but I'm small stacked by now, so I push every hand. It works a few times, but then I try it with J8 and he calls with AJ and I'm out in 3rd.
How should I play against an opponent like this?

Against a guy who calls or bets anything, your best bet is to value bet when you have a great hand, because he will pay you off almost assuredly. This can be difficult in a SnG because the blinds are so high, but remember that if he calls junk, any above average hand you have is likely to be better than his. TPTK is often enough to punish calling/betting stations like this.

Sometimes you just lose. I'd reraise and play more aggresive with him preflop. After the flop either fold or come at him hard and accept that you don't always win just by playing correctly.

Unless you are in chip trouble, just fold and wait to pick up a hand in the small blind and then punish him. You are likely to win all your SBs back and then some anyway. I wouldn't consistently push if he is a calling station. By doing that you just bluff all your chips off. Also, if you are raising every time, can you really expect him to give you anay respect??? I mean, if I'm in the BB I'm gonna get upset and start pushing back cuz I know you aren't solid every time. If you wanna steal, you need to vary your play from time to time.

This player can be dangerous in the first 20 or 30 hands of a tournament because you haven't figured him out yet. Thi kind of player has caused a lot of early exits for me, but only once! I remember such players and get my chips back 10 fold. Once you have spotted him as a calling station you know he is to dumb to fold so when you have a great hand abuse him.
