Chips needed BADLY

Posted Wed May 11, 2005 11:30 pm GMT by wisehybred99
I am a recent college graduate and NEED to start my own poker chip collection. I have been going to a regular game for awhile now but they use the crapiest chips and I need to bring some serious chips to the table.

I have been researching the paulson JB's, various ceramics, and the T.R. Kings but dont have any samples. it seems a lot of people like the T.R.'s and I am partial to the looks of the chip but the value is just not there for me right now. I would like to buy a set of 500 clay's or ceramics. I have looked at the desert sands and like the way they look and many people said good things about them.

Well here's the deal i am willing to make an unusual trade for a set of 500 clays. I have a newly purchased Dell 2005fpw which is a 20" widescreen LCD directly from Dell, I paid 650 shipped. I just really want some chips worse than my monitor. If anyone is interested please email me wisehybred@hotmail.com

Also can anyone give me advise on the value to benefit ratio on clay chips versus ceramic's because NJ's has a great deal for 300 desert sands chips with a really nice leather case for 179.00 I would consider this a great deal, but I am concerned with buying ceramics. I would really like to have some T.R. Kings particularly the ROUNDERS replicas. If there is anyone that can help me please inform me a bit./b Club

I can't stress enough how important it is to get samples of everything you are considering buying. Once you can actually handle the different kinds of chips and see them up close, you will find it quite easy to make a decision, I assure you.

This advice is oft repeated...and it's dead on balls accurate.

When I started reading these chip boards, I thought I'd probably buy the NJ clays, because I thought they looked the best. I also thought I might like the WSOP replica Chipcos. Well, after getting some samples of these and other chips, there's no way I'm buying anything other than Paulsons when I finally buy a high end set. The NJ clays, made by Blue Chip, are just horrible in quality (spinners are inexusable) and don't feel anywhere near as good as Paulsons. Also, I just don't like how ceramics feel. So it'll be one of the few Paulson sets for me. Definitely get samples!

Not your 2005FPW! I would trade with you in a heartbeat (the monitor is only worth $400 now though) if I hadnt just bought one. Just got one about 2 weeks ago for $400 shipped. This monitor is amazing! Check your PM. I sent you something.
