Just wanted to talk about yesterday's adventures on the field. Quite a war out there. Spent about 14 hours and 11 minutes at Wynn's Poker Room. It's kind of interesting how the players change in that time.
There was one kind of dangerous fellow on the second table I played. Sunglasses at the 4/8 table! Normally, he played on the 40/80 table... kind of nutty though. Playing this way on 4/8 kind of made him look like a maniac. And, as with all maniacs, you see his stack swell from 100 to 250 back to less than 100. He doesn't care though... it's not much money. He still gets mad though when they call with 2 4 and win with that.
I played next to a kid who clearly is only okay. He just catches cards, and when he comes back downstairs with $50... he leaves two hours later with $500. Crazy. LOL I never get a big kill like this. He'll be back in town on Sunday, and I'll be waiting for him.
Grandma Bitter Gambler at 10:00 am. Man, she can lay down a hand. If someone check raises her, then she will lay down. All night I was playing with fools who never lay down to a check raise. Or even a raise on the turn. Funny thing about grandma is she is sinister looking on the table.
Finally, the General didn't come out ahead. Well, I was stuck for a good eight hours. I usually buy in for $300 on the 4/8 table. My stack shrank all the way down to $40 then finally I came out ahead after the 12th hour by about 4 bucks. I should have stopped there, but instead I kept playing and lost back $111.
It's funny how the older folks show up at around noon, and they play so much more predictably. Definitely, loose passive. I actually think that would be a good time to go.
So, there's my night. I think tonight I'll play on PartyPoker. But, man, I want to build up some comps for a nice dinner or something... all I can get at Party is a hat or jacket or something.
