Bold or Stupid?

OK, this is from memory so the details might not be exact but here goes:
(and forgive the formatting, I am a noob)

SNG tournament, 7 of 9 players left. Blinds are 15/25.

I have a middle stack of 1800 chips.

I get 5h 5d everyone calls to me, I call and both blinds call/check.

Flop comes:

4h Ac 6h

One bet $25

All fold to me I call.

Turn shows 7h

My opponent pushes in $1200 All-in

I call.

River is the 8h.

This guy was absolutely livid. He started calling me names, telling me what a stupid player I was etc.

He actually stuck around talking how happy he was going to be when my stupid ass got bounced off the table. As luck would have it I won (it was only a $2 SNG, I don’t know why this guy got so attached). I actually had more fun laughing at him pulling his hair out than I did winning the $9.

Anyway, my thinking at the time was I had enough outs, and enough chips to make the call. I had an outside straight draw, a flush draw (not to mention a straight flush draw) and a set draw. That left me with what 19 outs?

I know I am new but considering even if I was wrong I still was not out and I could eliminate an opponent.

So tell me, how wrong was I?

Edit: In case it matters the guy I beat ended up having Aces and 6's

I doubt very much that I call the flop bet. I certainly don't call the all-in on the turn. There's no way you can like your heart outs, with the exception of the 4 and the 8. Your straight draw may not be good either, since he could already have a made flush. I think realistically, your 19 outs are maybe half that.

That early in the tournament with the blinds that low, you've got no reason to gamble.

*edit* You only had 17 "outs" not 19. Can't count the 8 Heart or the 4 Heart twice *edit*

Why risk over half your stack calling a 1200 all-in bet, for a 225 pot, on the hope you might improve and if you do it will be enough?

Sorry mate, but I don’t think this was an optimum play unless you had an excellent read that said he only ever went all-in with bottom pair.

Yeah, I don't like calling for 2/3 of your stack there if you don't have to either. Although later on there's a lot of situations where I'm beating him in the pot...

But I think the other guy was the real idiot though LOL... his hand is vulnerable and the $25 flop bet isn't going to scare anyone, more like an invitation to hang around. And after that turn, which is about the worst possible card for him, he's got maybe 19th nuts, nowhere near strong enough to risk an all-in IMO. Normally one would say he's only going to get called if he's beat, add "or against a gambler on a monster draw" in this case.

Yeah, I guess it was the wrong move to make given the commentary by the more experienced players here but this was my thought too. $25? Can't be that good of a hand. I didn't put him on a flush draw because $25 bet just isn't enough to get good odds from one player on a flush draw if I understand what I have been reading here correctly (this forum is awsome).

A set didn't scare me, I don't know. Maybe I just wanted to see a straight flush Razz

Well, like I said I am a noob but I can learn from my mistakes.

Question: what suit was his A?

Suited with his 6, diamonds.

Does it change anything?

If it was the A Heart, his push on the turn would make more sense because even if you had made a flush on the turn he could redraw to the nuts on the river.

I still don't like either play though.
