I've got a 10 player game of no limit next week. Each player has the option to buy in as many times as they like during the first three hours. The blinds go up every hour starting very low until the third hour, then all buyins stop and we play knockout for the pot.
My plan was to start out playing very tight and only raising pre flop AA KK QQ JJ AK and calling, AQ AJ AT A9 KQ KJ KT QJ QT TT 99. I know this is standard play for a newbie but I was wondering, as the blinds go up, what should my strategy be? Keep playing tight or loosen up? In the past I have found that if the blinds are really high, and I play tight, my chips tend to get munched away and I end up with no real weight to through around the table when I do get a good hand.
Is this, bad luck or bad play?

The time to the freeze-out (no more re-buys) and schedule of blind increases seem way too long IMHO.
As for your strategy the question is just too open. I’d advise you invest in a book mate because there’s a huge amount to consider on top of you hole cards (they’re not even at the top of the list).

Also, this may seem like commen sense but if your running short stack and rebuy time is coming to an end, go all in with mediocore hands...
youll either take the blinds, double up, or bust and and buy back in with a bigger stack then what you were playing with

With all the rebuys it's likely that the starting chip amount will leave you short-stacked anyway. I suspect that by the time re-buys are over there will be 2 or 3 times the original amount of chips in circulation.
As blinds go up more of the game is played preflop. The push/fold system is the easiest one to use when blinds are greater than one-fifth of your stack or so. It's pretty simple wait for a decent hand and go all-in. Of course the requirements for a pushable hand vary based on your position and the action before you.
Great hands to push with:
-high pocket pairs
-AKs
Good hands to push with:
-Big aces (an ace and a big card)
-mid pocket pairs
Okay hands to push with:
-Ax
-low pocket pairs
