Hand before the bluff
Player A wins a monster pot, mostly of Player B's chips. Player A has a stack of about 29 bucks, and Player B a stack of 10 bucks.
In the hand, Player A showed a set of 5's, hitting it on the turn when he had low pair of 5's on the flop and called 3 bucks. He is very agressive, and player B showed 2 pair, K's and 10's.
The biggest bluff, preflop action
Player A-Raises to 2 bucks
Me-fold
Player C-fold
Player B- Re-raises, makes it 4 to go
Player A- Calls
Going to be some crazy action, we know that player B must either have a monster hand or just trying to seek revenge
The flop.....
5 , 6 , J
Player A- Bets 1 bucks
Player B-Makes it 3 to go
Player A-Calls
Knowing player B has a monster hand, making it this much, and almost his whole stack in the pot(I might be a little wrong with the amount betting, but he has about 4 bucks in chips now, i just rounded up the amounts)
And...the turn!
6
Player A- All-in
Player B thinks for a while, says you hit your set i fold. The following was said after B folded.
A-You fold?
B-Yes
A-Can we see the river, I just wanted to see if i would of hit my straight
B-What did you just say???
A-I wanted to see if i hit my straight
(Player A then shows 7,8 suited)
Dealer then flips the river, showing that is was an A of
B-OMG!!!! LOOK WHAT I FOLDED CAUSE OF YOU!!!
(Player B then goes into the muck, and flips over pocket aces!)
Everyone side talks, and B feels like the worst poker player ever
And that my friends, is how you set up a bluff.(Ok ok, a semi-bluff)

I’m surprised B didn’t fold on the flop to that $1 bet then run out screaming when he saw his shadow.

Guys, guys, let's not bash player B too much. I think we could all say, from experience, that we've made some stupid mistakes after losing big pots. I can speak specifically about pocket A's because, for me anyway, they're very hard to play. We've all gotten them cracked plenty of times. And I have a very hard time throwing them away, even when I feel I'm beat. So let's say something good about player B. He felt he was making the right decision and had the disipline to throw out A's. We all know that this game is about making correct decisions, and in order to take steps up we need to make incorrect ones. Player B had faith in his own judgement and was willing to deal with the poker consequences. I get the feeling he won't make that mistake again. Take care.
(Oh ya, I'm not player B, in case that's what you thought)
