We all benefit from luck from time to time, but damn... In both cases I get my chips in with a sizable lead and get drawn out on.

the 1st hand, you actually gave him decent pot odds to call your down. He will hit his str8 32% of the time, and he has an overcard for 3 more outs. 1000 bet to a 1000 pot gives him odds to call with his draw. I dont know if I would risk my tourney on a draw, but it isnt a horrible play. Turn-he still has pot odds, and is pretty much pot committed.
2nd hand, K6 vs 77 is a foolish call on his end-but still only a 30/70 dog. So your overbet may have invoked the call, or he is just an idiot.
I got ticked off last night, 4 remain, I had monster stack and 10 9 in the BB. Short stack raised min, I called. Flop 10 7 4, i check he bets min, I go all in, he calls w/ Q8.....Q8??????? WTF. Turn 8, river Q. He doubled up again against another player the very next hand and went from chip and a chair to chip leader. I lost to him heads up when my KK lost to A3.
Losing with the best hand sucks, but it is part of the game. Dealing with bad beats and realizing over time you will win more than you lose when ahead is what keeps you going.
Think of it this way, at least you werent all in w/ AK 30 remaining where top 27 get $18K on the WPT and lose to KQ on runner runner flush like Adam did.
