is anyone planning to put some events.. or just the entire main event.. or all of the events of the 2005 world series of poker on dvd?

I plan to tape them all... if I can get editting software working correctly I will be trying to put them on DVD. I'll let you know.

great.. cuz i live in canada and i dont get espn.. a sports channel will show them evenutally but it will probably take months

cant u just download it with ares or a bittorrent loader?

Just came back to browse a bit today. Found the thread about when ESPN will be broadcasting the main event.
I have all the tools (since its my job) at home to tape, capture and put a main event DVD together. I was thinking I'd maybe even go all out this year and create some crazy intro, menus, jacket, etc. for this and have a nice copy.

I work in the multimedia industry. Web design, interactive cdroms, flash animation, etc.
I started up my own company a year and a half ago. Sort of a 'on the side' type thing. Started to learn about dvd authoring, compositing and shooting film. I bought some equipment and started to nail down some gigs. I've done some weddings, graduations, commercials, etc.
Everything is put on an interactive dvd. With a design on the disc a nicely put together design on the jacket for the dvd. I like to add a few special features (for weddings) and what not. Its been a lot of fun so far.
I have just put in an order for a 1000 custom chip set from pc.com. Designed my own artwork for the chips and what not. My long term plan is to put together a website for my monthly poker game complete with video, audio and pictures. Have some crazy stupid intro to each event like I see on tv. Then upload it all to the website for the 10 - 15 regulars to check it out.
Maybe at the end of the year I can put together a 1 and a half hour dvd and give out copies to everyone. Of course that might be a long shot but I have everything I need to make it happen, could be fun.
