Rebuys

In Stockholm there's only one casino. They are offering $75+$15 (roughly translated figures) tournaments with up to 60 participants. It sounds like a pretty fun thing to try, since I've only played online and home games.

The only issue I have is that they are offering unlimited rebuys and an add on. My bank roll doesn't really allow me to pay several times the entry fee, in order to have a deasent chance of ending up in the money.

My question is, how does the fact that they offer unlimited rebuys affect the play. Should I expect most players to play hyper-aggressive with the aim to gain an early chip lead?

Yes, this is why I hate unlimited rebuys. That first hour people just go all in trying to emass a large chip stack. It really lowers the quality of play. If you can't afford to rebuy a few times, play ultra tight and only play the top hands. Try to survive the first hour. After the rebuy period, play will return to normal.

...but in addition, if you can get some hands and do well without re-buying it might be a very lucrative proposition for you.

I only had enough money (and barely THAT MUCH) for the first MTT I ever entered at a casino. 3 re-buys and 1 "add-on."

I ended up placing 4th, but probably did as well as the guy placing 3rd given the fact that I was only in my $28 buy-in and he was likely in AT LEAST $50.
