go ahead and criticize my slowplaying ... maybe i should've bet more on the flop, but it was a very unthreatening one in my opinion considering both of these guys limped in, the best draw they would have off the flop is Q10 for the straight

(i actually meant to go all in off the turn ... but i doubt the extra 6.20 raise would have scared this guy off)

but hey flafishy you'd be proud of me .. all i said after it happened was "omfg ... wow ..." I'm stepping in the right direction

and on the bright side, somewhere during the session i picked up my bonus so i actually ended the session in the green

The flop was rainbow too, so slowplaying isn't too bad. You can only worry about AJ.

Just wondering if you guys would've called after the flop like Pants1969 did. I'm farily new at this and was surprised he called. I understand his call after the turn, with the flush draw to go along with the inside straight draw, but I don't think I would've called after the flop with AJ on the board.

At first glance, all you see is the gutshot, but he's got a ton of cards that can help his hand on the turn. He has the 4 8's to the nuts, but there are 16 other cards that can help his hand. Any K, Q or diamond gives him additional outs. Getting 5:1 on his money, it's probably worth a call when 40% of the cards in the deck strengthen his hand.

I don't like how he played the turn though. I don't think he can lead there unless he makes a reasonable attempt to get the others to fold. His $5 bet was too small, and then he called off most of his stack on a draw.

The pants was in for the ride from the flop when he called the bet.
