I posted this on the ass end of another post, but it deserves its own post.
This guy pulled a bone head to end all boneheads. Some guy from the 9 seat raises, one seat calls (other side of the dealer) all others fold. 9 seat doesnt see any callers so he shows AA. OOPS.
So, flop KQx, AA now exposed face up on the table bets, other calls. LOL this is getting funny.
Turn rag, exposed AA bets, idiot calls.
River J, AA finally checks, Idiot bets. AA calls.
Idiot shows 9 10 for river str8. Everyone just shakes head. AA asked how he can call down w/ no overcards and just a gutshot-he says "On principal".

So, what about the AA calling on the river? If I check on the river and he knew my hand and he bet, you have to figure better than a pair.

maybe it was some good old reversed phycology. The guy with hand consealed would think that the AA guy would think that he would only bet with a better hand, so he would think the AA guy would fold, even if he had a worse hand.

But he never bet it. He called all the way down, knowing he was only drawing to 4 outs in a small, heads-up pot. That's why it's so bad. Not once did he bet it until the river when he finally hit his gutshot.
That's not reverse psychology. That's just stupid.
Or I could've simply misread your entire post. That's entirely probable.

yeah that guy is so stupid.. to call a beat after u check and the other guy bets.. so i missed it... so he exposed his cards becasue he thought everyone folded? and they had to continue the hand?
