Limping in with pocket Aces???

Is this good to do every once in a while to mix up your game? I did this when I was on the button last night and was lucky because the big blind raised $15. Got several callers and then I re-raised $20. Big pot pre-flop. The flop comes K-7-3 rainbow. I go all in, get no callers and when a pretty good size pot!! About $75 or so. What do you guys think about this? Should I do this again? Did I just get lucky? Give me some opinions, thanks!!

I dont think that you get AA enough to use it to effectively mix up your game.

If you want to limp with them in EP just be willing to lay down the hand if you get 5 more limpers preflop w/ no raises and someone fires strongly back at you. Against a deep field, AA is just another pair-a pair does not win too often.

Heads up or against 2 others, AA will win most of the time.

It's a great hand to limp with if you're confident it will be raised behind you. Limping with it from LP doesn't make much sense unless you have a maniac who has yet to act.

No. You put a neon sign on your head.

Harrington suggests doing that now and again to mix up your game. But I don't think it's quite as necessary to do that for those of us whose game isn't as high-profile as Harrington's. Maybe if you find yourself playing the same people a lot, as Harrington does, or if you've gotten the rockets in LP for about the fourth time in the tournament ...

Yeah, as has been noted that play shouldn't be much of a factor or even a positive factor though actually I think I got a little use out of it. I did that last week in my regular game... 4 players left so thought I could risk it and maybe get paid by top pair or such... flop KTx, perfect, someone's gotta have at least middle pair but no, gets checked to me, so made a smallish bet intended to look like a weak steal but no callers. Flip the aces to at least get some advertising. Guy on my left says, "Well I wasn't going to call any bet with these cards, but f*** you for trying!" Laughing Seemed to cause a worthwhile amount of consternation.

That all-in was a bit risky don't you think? KK etc. would have ruined your day there.
