Coming up with betting increments for my at home poker game |

Hello, I hold a poker game every other week for me and my friends. We only play with 5 bucks and we play limit Hold'Em.
Currently, we are playing an odd sort of betting system. Small blind is 5 cents, big blind is 10 cents. On the preflop, bets/raises can be made up 10 cents. On the flop, bets/raise can be made up to 20 cents. On the turn, 30 cents. And on the river, 40 cents.
This is not a conventional betting system, and I'm not sure if it's best suited for our kind of game. What I'm looking for is a well-balanced betting system. Any kind will do. The most important thing is that we're only starting out with 5 bucks. Also, we have three different kinds of chips. (Currently worth 5, 10, and 25 cents). Any recommendations would be appreciated. Maybe change the blinds, or raise or lower the betting amounts? Thanks.

There's going to be 7 guys playing tomorrow (that's including me).
I've heard in the past that if you want to structure a good game, the players should have 100x the big blind. But I'm not sure if that is true or not. Well, my structure is only 50x that. Any improvements would be good.

i say run a 10/20 game... it's nice round numbers. 5 cent small blinds, 10 cent big blinds... normal betting with like a max of 3 or 4 raises. you could double the blinds every hour or something if you wanted too...

you could play pot limit. that's what me and my friends always play and it works great. i think limits are too limited :D if you know what i mean. with pot limit every bet gives information, flase or tells, that's what i like about it.
