Hi,
Heard through the grapevine here that there was a bust at a private poker club (invitation only, had to go with someone who was a member to get in) by the Montreal Police... details by someone who was busted here: http://www.playerforhire.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1133
I have only played live games with friends at work but a couple of us who play online were talking about trying a tourney or two here in Mtl - now we'll wait for Foxwoods/Akwasasne I guess..
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

In a related note, NYC got shut down last thrusday and almost no card rooms are open this week.
My friend lost $~1k in chips and the 5-10NL and 30-60LHE players lost their chips/equity, which was estimated around $30-40k.
