Hi,
I've read several time about Kill pot or something...what does that mean ?
Also I nearly have enough FPP on PokerStars to order a book (yay :p ) but I'm hesitating between :
- Tounament Poker, By Tom McEvoy
- Championship No-Limit & Pot Limit Hold Em, By Tom McEvoy & T.J.
Cloutier
Which one do you recommend ?
Anyone ever ordered something with his FPP's on PS ? If yes, how long did it take before you received it (I live in Europe so answer from a player from USA would be irrelevant I guess :) )
Thanx for help,
ScanX

A kill pot doubles the stakes if a player wins 2 hands in a row over a certain dollar amount.
For example-$3/$6 limit, player would need to win 2 pots in excess of $20 or so (depending on rules) to create a kill game. He then needs to post a big blind of $6 and the game is $6/$12. The other 2 blinds remain at $1 and $3.

I like the Cloutier book (McEvoy really only writes in the forward)

Thank u both for the answers.
About the kill pot :
so only the guy who won the 2 previous pots posts the $6 blinds and normal blinds are posted aswell right ?
what if the guy who wins the 2 pots is the one who gets to post the BB ? he has to post $9 of blinds ?
Is this kind of game played somewhere online ?

He only has to post $6, not 12. And if he wins that hand, the next hand will be a kill as well. Same stakes.
Only the winner posts a $6 blind. The other blinds remain $3 and $1. So the big blind needs to call the $6 to see a flop.
Ultimate Bet has kill and 1/2 kill games. 1/2 kill is just a 50% increase in the stakes.
One thing to note, the kills games are dangerous. Lots of bluffing and weird action. Dont assume anything. To clarify, the normal hands are fine, but when a kill happens, someone will often always raise preflop and try to steal. Then the pot odds kick in if people call and you get some strange outcomes.
