I have heard some people will play these pre-flop as though they are holding pocket aces. Making a big bet before the flop of course. What if the flop is like K-Q-6 rainbow and there are 2 callers preflop? Would you continue to bet huge so as to represent the pocket rockets or slow down in fear of someone having the K or Q?

If you have pocket jacks and you bet more than 3x the bb and 2 people call you must assume one of them has a K or Q.
In this situation depending on your image, size of your stack, and the size of there stacks you could raise and hope they don't have KQ, AK,AQ,AJ,KK, QQ
.
I personally don't like pocket jacks because its very easy to flop overcards.

I try to treat pocket Jacks as i do any other medium pocket cards (as that is all they are really), i generally will just limp with them hoping to get something from the flop, and if i dont im happy to let them go. As shown in the post above there are alot of possible cards which can hurt you, so i tend to play safe with them...

Position, stack size, tournament/ring, limit/NL...many other variables to be considered. Never, ever, say "I'm going to play this hand this way or that way all the time."
Early position, I typically will limp or small raise. Unless I sense I'm at a tight table or just am in that kind of mood, and can win right there.
Late, raise limpers to try to win right there, unless I feel like slowplaying and seeing a flop.
If I'm real shortstacked and just out of the money in a tournament, I might push, just to try to get enough chips to stay alive. Or, I might even fold them, if a super tight player raises before me. Who knows? All situational.
The point is, keep changing it up. Guidelines are o.k., but be sure not to fall into patterns.

I think that with a standard raise pre-flop, throwing out a decent bet on the flop is right...say 1/2-2/3 of the pot. Who knows you may have the best hand even with that board. You could get AQ to lay his hand down but if you check on the flop, you are probably going to lose a showdown.
If you get called on the flop then I would definately slow down and probably go into check/fold mode.

JJ's are the Child of Satan hand.
But when they work they work real well.
I like to make a decent bet preflop with them then bet out the flop.
if i get Reraised Then i general Fold on a flop like that.
