I am wanting to move into all plastic cards but would like some feedback before I buy. Here are the questions
1. Gemaco vs Kem
2. poker style 2 1/2 vs bridge style 2 1/4
3. large index vs standard (normal) index

I exclusively use Kem bridge-sized regular index cards. I don't think I could play with anything else. They've been left in the rain, suffered numerous beer baths and they still look brand new.
I will admit to not having much experience with Gemaco cards, but I'm so biased toward Kems, I don't think I'd buy anything else.
Just my 2 cents.

Never played with Gemaco, but with KEMs, I highly suggest bridge size, and the small index.

Gemaco vs Kem
I have seen hundreds of card posts, don't remember anyone stating Gemaco as their card of choice. Kem, Dal Negro, and Copag seem to be regarded the best by the most, roughly in that order. I usually use Copags. Might want to start with Kems though as they seem to be commonly available at reasonable prices again after some production difficulties.
Poker v. bridge, large v. regular index
Poker rooms usually use bridge size, regular index. I think "poker" size should really be called blackjack size, that's what those are usually used for. Some like the big cards, some don't, don't know of any real reason to choose. The reasoning for standard index is that you can read your hole cards with a minimum of exposure of the cards. Use what you like.

Who sells Gemaco plastic cards? Most of the Gemaco cards that I've seen are paper ones that have been recycled by the casinos.

I was looking on ebay and have seen kem, copag, gemaco 100% plastic cards for sale. Just wanted to make sure i bid on the right kind for what i want.

Ugh. With all the scammers on eBay, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that some might be passing off 'plastic coated', i.e. paper cards off as plastic.

I've used KEM, Copag, and Gemaco and honestly the Gemaco's don't come close to the other two. The Gemaco's are very stiff and the graphics leave a lot to be desired. I own all original KEM's, but have used the USPC version and I was very disappointed. Copags are OK, but for $10 more why not buy the best?

Definitely get bridge size and the regular index is a must unless you're over 55. Super Index makes it harder to protect your hole cards due to the fact that you have to lift them up higher to see.

Actually I've made that mistake. Only to realize that I could still see regular index fine without reading glasses. The type on regular index is still pretty big, it's not as if it were a newspaper.
Anyone need a set of Copag Exports in Super Index? 
Maybe a young computer geek with coke bottle glasses?

I have both Kem and Gemaco cards. I have been using Kems exclusively but decided to give the Gemacos a shot. These are my new favorite cards. they don't smell like Kems do. They are a bit smoother and deal very nicely. I love them. Not too impressed with Copaq they seem a bit dull. I'd try a deck of Kem and Gemaco to see which you prefer.

I like the jumbo index for one reason.....at a 10 person table....and the flop on the other side of the table.....after 8 beers it is a little hard to make out clubs and spades....
As far as gemaco...I think they are great....but the Copag's in my Opinion are the best....The issues with quality control with the new Kems and all the horror stories have kept me from investing in kems yet.

I recommend copag cards.
I had some old KEM cards but they were a lot thinner and less substantial feeling than the copags. Plus I really like the design on the backs of the 1546 design.
Which size? I prefer the wide size but I have heard people say how the bridge size are easier to shuffle.
Jumbo vs. Regular? My cards are regular. I'm tempted to buy these though:

My cards are the same 1546 design but they're blue and red. I like these colors, and the idea of them being easier to see at the other end of the table is nice too.

I have used Copag Kem and Gemaco. Kem and Copag I believe are interchangable. They both are GREAT cards. Gemacos though, as said before, are very stiff. They dont take marks very well, and dont bend back after being bent. The gemacos feel like a very high quality paper card, not a plastic card.

Ballys in AC uses Gemaco cards, as mentioned above, they are a bit stiff. But at the same time, i thought the set of KEM's i picked up from eBya were a little too flimsy. I also own a set of Copag's and must say, they are great cards.
I usually play with Bridge size regular index cards.

That's the exact same Copag's that i picked up on eBay, great cards.
