TRIPS, Overated!!

Everytime I get trips, someone usually gets a straight or flush on the turn or river. Any tips on how to play trips on the flop? If I check it gives them a free card. If I bet big to see if they will lay it down, I could lose a lot of money (Esecially if they hit their hand on the flop)

If you bet and they didn’t have the odds to call on their draw but did and made it anyway...that’s life. When you hit trips you’ve just got to be weary of boards that have a straight or flush draw.
If you bet and they come over the top you need to be willing to lay it down (if their pre-flop play fits with the cards they need).

it all depends if your playing limit or no limit hold em. if this is happening in no limit maybe try betting a higher amount to get the drawers out
