... for ring games i am currently only playing in the .02/.04$ limit tables on vc poker while i get the hang of things.
however if there is 9 people on the table practically EVERY person will see the flop pretty much all of the time. even when it is raised loads of people will go in.
when i do get a good hand i play it hard and alot of the time get sucked out on the river.
its like 'poker lottery' and its getting pretty boring to be fair.
should i move up a level because surely this is no good way to learn...
i am currently happy with the sng's i am playing in.
cheers

Yes I believe you should move up on the limits. Of course everyone is going to see the flop when its only 2cents. You will still get those kinds of players at higher limits but hopefully you'll get less of them.

When I was playing the .05/.10 tables during the beginning of May it was the lowest limit I had played to that point and I was concerned that it would be like what you experienced in .02/.04, but I must say I was surprised and very much so. This was on Poker Stars and while it's true I play in the tightest games I can find I was still shocked how many times I would raise preflop from EP and the entire table would fold. I figured you might see that in $1/$2 and $2/$4 and higher, but it happened at .05/.10 a lot, so I think you will be doing quite nicely at the new level and enjoying it more also.

It's as good a way to learn as any.
