lets say we in heads up...
i have 2 4 OPPONENT i have no idea
FLOP IS J 8 2
he raises i call
TURN is a 4 making me two pair
HE raises i reraise he stops and thinks for a while,,, after a good while he FOLDS (he didnt call my reraise)
So that i can keep him thinking several hands to come i show him my 2 not showing him my 4 which was my second pair...ALL OF A SUDDEN PEOPLE ARE UPSET BECAUSE I ONLY SHOWED 1 card.
I ve seen danny NAGERU do this several hands unfortuntley some people get upset and say if i show ONE card i have to show the other, i say i dont have to cause he didnt pay my reraise....
AM I RIGHT, I SHOWED ONLY ONE CARD I N THE TURN AFTER HE FOLDED
or do i have to show BOTH my CARDS ,,,,,,i think not
QUESTION 2
me vs player A
i have 2 6, i raise preflop, he calls
FLOP COMES OUT 489
i raise he calls
turn comes a 9 i raise again he calls
river is a 6 i check he checks HE SHOWS a 9 J giving him a three of a kind and i MUCKED my hand and he gets upset cause he says i have to show cause we were at the SHOWDOWN....i tell him i dont have to because i cant beat his hand...so he pickes up the deck when i turned in my cards and looks at my cards.(he is lucky i didnt have a gun on my like the old days) LOL..........BUT I DID GET UPSET cause i think i dont have to show my hands if i knowthey are beat....PLUS HE SHOWED HIS 3 of a kind first....
CAN I MUCK AT SHOWDOWN IF I KNOW I M BEATED OR DO I HAVE TO SHOW?

answer 1: you can do this because he folded.
answer 2: you can muck, BUT you must show your hand if someone asks. that being said, it was pretty bush-league of the guy to dig thru the muck to see your cards. if you are playing in a casino they can deny his request to view your hand if he is constantly asking. (ie. if he's generally acting like an ass by always asking to see mucked hands)

more importantly, did he just say he was "beated"?

Even more importantly what is he doing raising and reraising or just generally playing hands like that?

In a casino if niether player wants to show the dealer will ask the player who initiated the action or raised to show. Once the other player folds anything you show is a favor to him. You do not have to show anything.
I would have slapped the players hands who was digging in the muck. if someone digs in the muck or grabs your hand it's your fault. You have to protect your cards. There is one thing I have learned about poker, you can not let anyone run you over or intimidate you in any way.

you don't have to show your hand at showdown unless you are all-in, or its heads up and the other person is all in

Depends on the club. At my cardroom, you're required to show both your hole cards if you want any part of the pot.

the other guy folded though. You shouldnt have to show anything.
Everywhere I play you are welcome to show one card if he folds. You can show none if you want to. And no one can ask to see them unless you are all in or went to the showdown.

In the cardrooms I've played in, any active player may request to see the hand called all the way to the end. Now, if the cards haven't been mucked, the dealer will flip these for the table to see. Most only allow a player to make this request once each 1/2 hour (each dealer shift). If the player has good aim and these have hit the muck, they won't flip them.
