Hello all,
I will be in Las Veagas June 18-25 and want to play poker. I am taking about 500 to play with and would like to play tournaments. where is ther best place for me to play with this kind of bankroll. Also where do the fish play in Vegas.

500 for an entire week in LV? That's the minimum I take for a 2 day trip, and I play 3/6 and 4/8, nothing high limit.
Is that your roll for all LV expenses, or just gambling? If it's for everything, you're only going to have ~300 to gamble with. Just something to keep in mind.

The 500 will be for gambling only I already have the expenses paid for. Also I will only be gambling about 3 of the days I am there. Im thinking maybe $25 sit and gos. Where are the lowest limit ring games and what are the limits im looking for maybe 1/2 or 2/4

I don't know if you're going to find $25 tournaments. I seem to remember the cheapest being in the $40 range the last time I checked. Search the other threads around here. Someone posted a link to a site that tracks tournaments in LV.

If you want a 1/2 game, the Palms has 1/2 limit as well as 2/4. Excalibur might have 1/2, too. Mirage has 3/6 and up. Bellagio and Mandalay have 4/8 and up. I don't know about downtown. I generally stay on the strip when I'm there.

you also have to remember the place will be packed with thousands of people for the WSOP, some places might bump up the buy ins and limits of stuff of tournys, and run alot of no limit and higher limit tables.

Orleans, Imperial Palace, Mandalay Bay and Luxor have some cheaper buyin tourneys. LV, to the best of my knowledge, does NOT have any SNGs.

check out harrah's, they have (i think) a daily tournament in the morning that is affordable. after the add-on i think it was about 80 bucks. i played in it when i was there a few months ago and i think they cap it at 5 tables. (for those that are wondering...no i didn't win, but i did make the final table) luxor has an affordable daily tournament as well, but i didn't play in it because the first hour is limit.
