K so I am starting a weekly poker game, and bought like 4 packs of cheap poker chips... i have 200 white and 100 red/blue in total, basically just wondering what are the best denominations, is it completley arbitrary? Ideas for increasing blinds? I don't want to get down to the final 2 and have the blinds out of whack for the amount of chips we have....Thanks for any help.
BTW this weekly game is for 4 people.
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. Normally it's:
White 1
Red 5
Blue 10
I have a similar number of people as you, maybe a little more sometimes. If I were you I would:
Start everyone with 20 ones, 12 fives, 8 tens.
Level 1- 1,2
Level 2- 2,4
Level 3- 5,10
Level 4- 10,20(By level 3,4 cashout the 1's for 5's and 10's)
Well I would probally do that, but that's just me. It's really aren't that professional, but it would be okay. Someone who knows alot more than me will probally make a better suggestion for you. Check this site for alot more help: http://www.homepokertourney.com/
Good Luck! -Matt
