Now was this played correctly? Did i over bet on the turn, forcing them out too soon? I was scared of someone sucking out on me with a flush... Maybe i hsould have just bet $2 again, and lept my fingers crossed a diamond didnt come on the river?

I think you played it pretty much spot on. The call pre-flop was ok, he raised UTG to 4xBB so you probably don't want to be re-raising with Jacks because you can assume that there won't be many callers after you.
You flopped the nuts and bet it which is good to see (no slow playing the damn nuts on the flop unless it is quads or a straight flush!) but with 3 callers, you HAD to kill it on the turn or at least make it expensive for them to go on. And that is what you did. Well played I say

Honestly, I wouldve bet more on the flop - there was a straight and flush draw there, with the 2 diamonds and 5-9. If someone like me was playing my favorite 8-6 connectors, I might've thrown $2 in to see the turn - which you let them do.
I hate trips with flush/straight draws on the flop - I'd rather win it then and there with a big bet than let someone fish cheaply.
Glad to see pocket Jacks win for a change though!
