I was at the MGM Grand a while back and was playing the 1/2 nl game...I was dealt K K utg and raised 20 to go...I had 1 caller which made me happy, but then the flop comes A A J...great. Being first to act, I wasn't sure how to play this...but not wanting to show fear of the aces, hoping to catch my opponent on a small pocket pair, I bet out another 20. The guy looked at the board and looked back at his cards and said, 'just this one time' and called the bet...he didn't raise, but I wasn't buying his act...so I checked on the turn, and he bet 40...I layed the Kings down and showed him...he smiled and showed me his rockets...the question I have, if I raise preflop...and an ace (or 2) flops, do I really want to show weakness and fear of the Ace by checking to him? Even if he has an underpair, he will almost surely bet after my check, forcing me to muck my cards...any thoughts?

I'd do the same thing in that situation. Bet the flop, if he re-raises then lay it down. If he just calls, I'd prolly fire again on the turn. If he re-raises, dump it. If he just calls again, check / fold the river.

i dunno how that guy was acting earlier....but it sounds like he was blatantly acting weak...that usually means they have a strong hand....and w/ 2 aces on the board, it screams slow play, so i think you behaved correctly by checking on the turn
also, keep in mind, most of the time, your kings would prolly be good here...
