Why Geno? Is the Borgata a really nice casino?

I should have read the fine print.
I received an e-mail about this tourney. I immediately call up. They are taking 100 players and I am #91. THey charge my credit card $200.
After I register and post here, I read the whole e-mail. They are only paying top 3, 1st is $7,500 2nd is $5,000 and 3rd is $2,500. That means a 33% rake!!! I guess if they are paying $6 in credit card fees, the rake is only 29.3%. Still kinda high though. Guess the Maxim babes will make it worthwhile.

I was there playing 1/2 no limit when they started putting it together. I didn't see one single *star* that I recognized. But the place got so freakin' packed that I left.
I do NOT reccomend the Borgata to anyone. Tiny poker room, my average wait for a table there has been an hour each time I go. It's horrible. The chips suck, they're built to suction to each other so you can't shuffle or anything (this helps keep me occupied so I don't get bored and play hands I shouldn't).
The Taj Mahal has the best room in AC in my humble opinion. It's huge, and I always get paid off there. 1500 in 4 hours at a 1/2 no limit table Sunday morning.

Always.................just get there early Saturday or Sunday morning; like 4am. You'll get the obscure drunk to sit down with 300 and dump it in 2-3 hands.

Hey! That was me!
Actually 4am is my usual cutoff time. Sometimes earlier if that voice tells me just to walk away while I'm ahead. But after 14-20 hours, I'm exhausted so I put a time limit on myself so I'm not that "obscure drunk."

I don't like the Bud Jones chips at Borgata either. They have the same thing at Harrah's, but with the coin insert.
Borgata is fine if you don't play NL. I wouldn't recommend anyone go there intending to play $1/$2 without expecting a list that's at least 90-100 deep. It's fine for limit though. They spread enough games to keep the lists short.
I played at the Taj a few weeks ago and they had open seating at $5/$10 at 10pm on a Saturday, which astounded me. It's certainly not the "in" place to play these days, but you can get a seat without too much trouble.
