1-3NL live ($400 capped buy-in)
Me: $350ish - BB
Villain: $400ish - LP (villain is off-duty dealer and ABC imo)
limped 4-5 handed and I check 8 7
Flop: ($15) J 10 9
SB leads $20, I make it $60, and LP min-raises to $100. SB folds.
I want to cry.

Is villain the type of player to call with KQ or would he raise in LP?
I think there is a good chance you are still ahead, although a lot of cards make your hand very marginal. You villain is ABC, would that rule out A 9 ? Could he have J10 for top two? Could he have a set?
Wow OOP this hand is hard. Well, I think if you call the flop then you are obligated to go to the showdown if say a Q or 8 doesn't hit. Even a min-reraise here puts a lot of your stack in the middle. Very very tough situation, I think if it was me, I lay it down, especially if he is ABC and wouldn't make a move on this pot without the nuts or a very strong draw, say A Q ? I probably lay it down knowing it will cost me most of my stack to find out if I'm ahead, which I very well might not be now. If you are ahead you still must dodge some bullets. The min-raise is just crying to get payed off is my guess.
Interesting though if he raised more on the flop or pushed, I might be more inclined to call as I would read that as a set, not KQ.
I fold.

I call the $40 and see what kind of action the turn brings. A low card like a 2-5 and no club and I might be all in. If I lose, I rebuy & play some more.
You are beating a lot of hands on the turn (2 pair, trips, 4 flush) but only losing to 2 hands - KQ, Q8. I like my chances. He may be raising with top pair, 4 flush, open ended, etc trying to get a free card.

I see KQo, 99, Q8, any two pair combo and mmmaaaybe a flush draw.
The turn came a 9. hmmmm.....I pushed all-in. Anybody like this?

I'm not sure I love it..... The same hands that had you beat, still have you beat. Now add a bunch more hands that have you beat....
Hmmmmm
It's aggressive, so I like that part of it. :D
In all honesty, you are going to have a hard time getting away from the straight you flopped. If you are going to call an all in anyway, I would rather be the better.

The heart on teh flop kept me in. If i picked up a flush draw on the turn, I knew I was going to have to play for all my chips. if it blanked, I'd be stuck to a decisoin. If the board paired i was going to fold or push.
JJ and TT were kind of out of the equation and him three-betting the flop and just meant made hand (KQo). And likely to raise more w/J10 or 99. But these guys are so bad, it could mean all three.
So I was pretty content to check/fold but the turn brought a beautiful nine and before my mind could check, my balls said push. So I did.
he beat me into the pot w/KQo.
hahaha, this was an easy fold but my aggressiveness got the best of me.

I find from bad players, the min-raise or re-raise is usually a sign they have a very good hand and want money in the pot, but they don't want to blow people out of the water.

Flopping the ignorant end of a straight is always a tough hand.....
It is much better with low cards like 456 - People are always playing the face cards, so hands like AK, KQ to make straights are always more likely.
At least you were agressive, I'll give you that much!
