DueceDelight raises 40.
Mekddsos08 folds.
tuff_2_read folds.
Ginger322 folds.

** Dealing Flop **
bfeab bets 20.
DueceDelight raises 40.

Would this be the correct play? It was still the first hour in the tournament, should I not have gone all in? I had a pair of Aces after the flop, what would you think befab has? I thought he probably had a pair of queens. WHat would have beent he correct play? [I'm still trying to learn tells and types of players. so I did not have a read on him.
thanks!

I think A10 is a hand you need to be very careful with. Everyone plays aces, so you are losing to :
AK
AQ
AJ
A9
Q9
99
QQ
Tied with A10.
Since the guy wants to be all in with you, chances are you are behind. Best you can hope for is your opponent is being aggressive with open ended, a flush draw, or a weak ace. My guess is you are being about 80% of the time here & your opponent has a lot of outs even when he is behind. If he has 99, QQ, AQ, you are dead to runner runner outs.
I see more players go out with A10 than probably any other hand mainly because they overvalue it. Once players hit that ace, they think they are ahead, when many times they are behind - And if they are ahead, you are not going to get much action with that ace on the board.
With A10, you want to flop top pair with the 10, not the ace.

The raise on the flop was good, to know where you where in the hand. When he raises that much, I think you should of folded it. Was this a STT or a MTT? It was still early, you had plenty of time to win. Dont risk it on this hand

what is MTT or STT? This was a freeroll tourney for partypoker.

Multi table or single table.
Yes, I think you played it fine until he made that huge raise. With A10, I wouldn't risk it there - You have kicker problems (the 10 is weak).
