Sorry mate this hand is a road accident.

1) J8o is best folded pre-flop.

2) With that many callers someone must have AA88J beat or an out that would.

3) Out’s. If you hit your Jack you’re 8 becomes useless.

4) The board is communal and so it’s strength available to all.

5) Think “what might they have?”. Are they all holding 8T, 89, 87?

EDIT:
I just read your other 2 threads and suggest you invest in some literature. I’m sorry mate I'm trying desperately not to come off like a tw*t here but these aren’t advance theory questions.

Im afraid i have to agree with Muck, you might wanna try reading a couple of books by Sklansky or some of the other well respected Poker players/authors out there. There are a lot of basics in poker and right now you havent grasped them, i fear that you are only going to lose money hand over fist unless you right those wrongs.

I understand completely, I have some books coming in the mail, I was playing freeroll tournaments until then. Thanks for the advice

Until they arrive, look online for what constitutes good starting hands, respective to your position. The books are a great resource but just some online research can give you what you need initially.

PS Based on your other threads, realize that cards being suited versus unsuited only adds about 2-3% to the hand's value. Strong cards which are suited (eg AK, KQ) makes them stronger. Weak cards which are suited are still weak.

Everyone plays aces - If one flops - I'm surprised if someone DOESN'T have one (at a full table).

Hate to be brutal about it but quite honestly this play is awful.
Whats wrong with it has already been pointed out and there is nothing right about it to mention.
