first of all welcome to THP!
now, on to business:
the problem i see with how you played this hand has nothing to do with the cards in play. you were not betting hard enough IMO. unless you were hoping to get called every bet you made before the all-in screamed weak. by the time you finally made a strong move...the all-in bet, it was too late. i think i would have checked the turn and seen what was up instead of making a weak bet getting raised and then re-raising all-in.

thanks for the insight. I recently started to realise my raises aren't strong enough, although i'm sure here he would have called either way. I knew he had the king and i was stronger, a bigger bet after the flop may have saved me.

I agree with Tony.
After that flop, I would have either checked it or gone big.. A min bet for only 1/4th the pot isn't going to scare someone who's invested into it already..

huh, what did u do?
think about this. If i understand this correctly.
Its a tourney of some sorts and u want to go head up with this all in guy without letting more people in right?
Well why would u wanna do this. U could have called his all in and waited to see if anyone else wanted to join the party. Then see if u hit the flop, if not, get out if the third guy who called the all in starts to raise.
My problem with ur play is that ur commiting urself with a shitty hand KQ off is not the best of hands. the raise u made i only make if i have a high pocket pair (1010 and up) gives u a much better chanche of winning when people start calling ur raise.
U didnt really need to get busted out of the tourney there did you. I would fold to his all in unless i sensed desperation. Becoz the guy could easily hold AK leaving u with 3 outs tops...
Well so much for my 2 cents.
Lemme know what u think. Excuse my english im a dutch guy im doing the best i can...

1) You have to raise more pre-flop if you're playing this hand. If you make it 2400 or 3200 you probably pick up the blinds.
2) Your bet on the flop was way to small. Never min bet.
3) There is no need to risk your tourny with top pair. You look like you had a decent stack.... why bother?

Warning, warning - he raised you on the turn and you reraised all-in with 2 9s on the flop? While he was betting the king and rivered you, he very well could have been betting a different hand (eg T9s, A9s) and you may have been the big underdog going into the river.
