I plan on playing the freeroll, maybe some $1 or $2 buy in tournaments on party poker. After I place consistently in the tournaments (top 100), I plan on trying some $1/$2 or less ring games. I hear good things about super system2, advanced holdem, and the book by harrington. Should I just get all three? Or are they all pretty similar, so does it really matter which one I get?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Depends on what your primary target is.
If it's Limit Cash games, I would go with Sklansky (try Small Stakes' Hold'em).
If it's No Limit SnGs or NL cash games, I would go with Super System 2 (which is a must-have for every serious player IMO).
If it's primarily large Hold'em MTT's, I would go with Harrington. I wouldn't trust anyone better to get you through huge fields than Dan the man himself.
