Need someone to jump out of a cake for you?

That would be lovely! :D

I will likely be down there that Saturday night. I'll have to make a concerted effort to find you this time.

I'll probably be at the $1/$2 NL tables.
Look for the chick with the beer.

At the poker table. Every other time I've been there, I've been the only one drinking beer AND playing poker.

Let's hope it's the former. I like pyramids, especially with columns of green and black.

Speaking of greens and blacks, when I hit that jackpot, I was paid in chips, rack of black (10k), 2 stacks of greens (1k) and the rest in red.

Do you think anyone bluffed me at that 8/16 table????

Well, there are a lot of morons out there......

I wouldn't, that's for sure.
Damn, did you get a security guard when you were leaving?

No, they offered me a check. I accepted.

I think it's more fun to be sitting at a 3/6 with over $600 in white ... it looks like a beach ...

or $2000+ in yellow ($2) chips at 8/16? That was quite a mountain.

I'm just partial to those greens and blacks, I guess. Although last time I had a mountain of red with a tower of green and a small hill of black. It was pretty.

Purples are good - just a smattering is needed ...

Well, once again I search for the wench and no joy. You can't throw a rock without hitting a woman in a 1/2 game at the Trop these days.

Anyway, was a good trip for me nonetheless. +$245 over 5 hours at 6/12 with the first hour at 4/8 while waiting for a seat.

<rant>There was exactly ONE 6/12 limit game going last night, in a room with 50 tables. At least a quarter of the room is 1/2 NL now, and I'm seriously considering sitting in those games one of these weeks. I have to believe at least 75-80% of the players in those games haven't the foggiest idea what they're doing, given how quickly they run through that list some nights. Talking to one of the dealers last night, he said they're considering dumping 2/4 limit completely at Borgata. No idea if similar plans might be in the works at the Trop. I think it would be fantastic if they don't turn them all into NL tables.</rant>

One cool pot on the night, I get 77 in EP and limp. MP raises, button 3-bets. I decide to see a flop and call. MP calls. Flop comes 433. I check, MP checks, button bets, I raise. MP calls 2 cold, button calls(?). Turn is a 5. I lead, MP calls, button calls. River is a 6. I lead, MP calls, button calls. I show my straight, MP mucks, button shows QQ. One for the good guys.

There were a lot more women my age there this time then there was in March. On Saturday I got seated with 2 other women. Next time I'll wear my Beer Wench t-shirt while I'm there (maybe in August or October).

I'd say that statistic is accurate. Of the tables at which I was seated, I had probably 2 or 3 max solid players. Everyone else would call pot-sized bets hoping to hit their inside straight draw or call all the way down with an underpair in the hole. I love these people, but they do get lucky on occasion. I had one guy at my table who hit his inside straight draw 4 times within an hour. Another called all the way to the river with 23o having hit a 3 on the flop only to river another 3 and crack another player's pocket aces. All in all, I walked away +$485 on the weekend in poker so the couple of bad beats I took didn't hurt my profits too substantially.
Best hands came back to back. I'm BB. Everyone limps, I look down to see 10 10. I raise, get 2 callers. Flop comes 9 10 9. Nice! I check, next player pushes all-in (short-stacked at about $85), player behind him folds, I call. He shows 66. I take down a decent pot. Next hand I limp in from SB with A Heart K Heart. BB raises to $10, MP calls, LP calls and I call. Flop comes 6 Heart 8 Heart J Heart . I check, player behind me bets, MP folds, LP raises, I call and player behind me calls. Turn is 4 Spade . I check, player behind me bets $25, LP calls, I push all-in. The player to my left calls and LP folds. He shows J Spade A Spade and I show the nut flush. River is a blank and I double up.
