Playing live 8/16 @ Canterbury and there are 4 drunks at the table catching everything. I couldnt get up, but was never down a whole lot either, just crazy action nearly every hand. There was an old bubba on my left who would play every hand, and if I 2 bet he would 3 bet (w/ Q 10 78 k7, etc), and no one would be scared off.
Anyway, finally up $170 @ 3am and decide to go. Last hand UTG I get QQ, I raise. I think everyone thought I was just raising my last hand, because at that point I had been getting some respect. A new player (regular, not bubba) was already short stacked and 3 bet, 2 call, I 4 bet and he goes all in for a couple more chips.
Flop Kxx, I bet, all fold but a blind. Turn A.....crap.....he bets, I say "nice catch and just call", now I have most of my profits gone on the last hand of the night. River Q, he bets, I raise with a massive smile on my face, he calls. I show, he doesnt, up $350 now.....thanks guys! Nothing like a 2 outer.
Earlier I had KK, flop KJ4 and lost to QQ on runner runner straight, I think it was just my good karma coming back.
I also hit a massive pot w/ 65o calling 2 more bets from the blind and 2 more after people capped. Flop 10 6 3, turn 2 (4 more outs) river 5, took down J10 and QQ.
Another massive catch 74 calling a preflop raise, flop Q 8 6, called 2 bets cold, turned a 5 and was paid off bigtime. I am such a fish!
