well, have a both Kems and Copags. For some reason, i felt as though the Copags had more texture, the KEM's felt a little too flimsy. Anyone else feel this way?

I have had both, but I use copags now - I agree that the KEM's felt too flimsy.

I'll throw out a third option. If you prefer poker width cards try the Modiano Bike Trophy plastic cards. I received these cards about 2 weeks ago and they're great. Very similar to Dal Negro Freedom's with the paper feel to them but the look and the 4 pipes set these apart (Dal Negro Torcello have 4 pipes too but I have no experience with these). If you prefer bridge width, I think I'd go with the Dal Negro Grand Slam's as these cards feel thicker than both Kem's and Copag's, IMO.

I have Kem, Copag, and Del Negro.... I use the Del Negros the most now mostly cause they're cheaper than the Kems.
HOWEVER, the Kems almost have me ready to switch back.... here's why:
I went to see the family for the 4th of July and thought it would be a good idea to bring some cards. So I put a deck of Kems in a Bicycle deck box and carried it around in my pocket all weekend in case things ever got boring. When I got home on Monday I threw my clothes in the washing machine, forgetting about the cards in my pocket So I opened the washer door and there were cards everywhere!!! No sign of the box they were in... it was totally gone. Most of the cards, on the other hand, were in better condition (cleaner) than when they went in. There were only a few that don't lay flat now. I'll still use that deck as my "travel deck" and will strongly consider Kems as my next card purchase.

Great story and if I accidentally leave a pair of my cards in my pocket and it gets wash I hope it's my set of Kems but for playing I'll still be reaching for the Modiano and Dal Negro decks first

What would happen if I threw my copags in the washer on cold?
Someone spilled a rum and coke on my deck, and now they stick.

IMHO, putting plastic cards in the washing machine is overkill, and the agitator could damage them. I would just fill up a large bucket or bathtub with some lukewarm water and maybe some dish soap, throw your sticky cards in there, let soak for a few minutes, swirl them around a few times, rinse, and dry thoroughly with a soft towel (you don't want to air dry, as the water spots left are composed of abrasive minerals).

I love 'em. Prefer them over Kems by far, and they edge out my Copags as well. They're a tad thicker (not like paper cards though), and have a nice texture.
