I just played a Limit tourny yesterday at Turning Stone Casino (New York) yesterday.
The dealer at my table constantly made mistakes. For example: Two players on his left, one on his right...one on the left was all in after the flop, the second had more chips, the third player to his right also had chips; dealer says for everyone to show his cards. The player on the right thought that both across the table were all-in so he shows. dealer flops out 4th and 5th street. While figuring out who won he realized that the other 2 players still had chips, then yells at the players for not speaking up.
He also, on more than one occasion, pushed the chips to the loser of the pot not the winner, then had to recontruct the hand from start.
He put the burn cards on top of the deck once, forgot to burn a card another; instructed players to post bigger blinds then they were suppose to; the list goes on and on.
Have any of you played at a table where the dealer was a complete moron like this guy? should I (or others) have spoken up and asked for a new dealer? I wanted to ask for my tourny fee back after since some these mistakes screwed me out a pot or two.
Are mistakes common at other locations? I can understand one here and there, but 7-10 in under 2 hours???? I couldnt imagine this guy dealing a NL game with multiple split pots...he could barely handle one.
on a separate topic..i saw a cool thing happen at my table. The flop came 567 diamonds. Once guy flopped an A high flush, the other had the 89 for a straight flush. The A high was betting into the straight! I would have pissed my pants if i was in that situation! =) oh yeah the dealer didnt screw that hand up....thank god

At Canterbury in MN, dealers very rarely make mistakes. I have played at Harrahs in Chicago and New Orleans, I dont recall any errors there either, but I was drinking of both those trips!
One of the very few mistakes I was involved with would have REALLY ticked me off if things had turned out differently. I slow play AA UTG and someone in early position raises w/ 5-6 total callers. I 3 bet, but w/ all the chips out there the dealer didnt see it (and I didnt verbalize my raise). Flop quickly comes A 7 3 rainbow, I mention that he didnt catch my raise. They call the floor over and reshuffle the flop into the deck and then redeal the flop. No set, but the AA held up. Saved me the trouble of kicken some arse.

As you said, I could understand a mistake or two, noone is perfect, but forgetting to burn cards and didnt look to make sure if other players could do a side pot? That's just really werid. Someone should complain to the casino manager about the dealer, and I think the table should of requested a new dealer. I dont think it's dickish if the dealer is making that many mistake's, sounds to me like he really never went to dealer school. It's rarely I can say this about anyone, but the guy should of been fired after players would of complained and after reviewing his work. ( reviewing secuirty cam's at table. ) I honestly dont think you will see him again when you go back to the casino, if so you should think about not returning to the casino, if they are allowing dealers like this there then what else do they allow ?
