I'm buying into a touranment today. They have $500 add-ons. What is that?
And also, when you make a rebuy. Is it the original buy-in money or any amount.

Not to be a jerk, but if you don't know the answers to this, should you be entering a tourney with a 500 buck addon?!

Generally, the rebuy will give you the same number of chips as what you start with. The add-on is sometimes a few more, but often is again the same size.
You can only rebuy if you have less chips than the starting number but you can add-on with any chip amount in front of you.
Rebuys (if unlimited) can be done at any time during the rebuy period (often the first hour). Add-ons are a once only thing, usually at the end of the rebuy period.

ditto. hell... i KNOW what add-on's and rebuy's are and i STILL wouldn't enter a trny with those kinds of figures. lol.

Maybe he means $5.00 or he’s talking about 500 units of chips that cost say $20.

I think he means 500.00 in chips. The buyin could be anything.
Sometimes the rebuy gives you more chips than the original buyin. Usually online it is the same as you started with. Add-ons are often higher.
