Nearly busted out of a tournament today with this hand. I got all the money in with the nuts, so did I make any mistakes?

With his big re-raise I had to figure he had 9-10 as well, but he had the diamond draw with it. Should I have just called and waited to see the diamond on the river? I doubt it, since he could have a set plus a diamond draw, in which case I'm still a slight favorite, since no hand right now has me beat.

He had the nuts too with a draw for the flush. Just happends.
THe other day in a cash game i had all my money in for a 700 pot with top set the nut stright and a royal flush draw and still lost. Just the way the cards come out.....

One of the rules in Omaha, as advocated by Lyle Berman in the PLO section of SS2, is even if you have the current nuts, you have to be prepared to fold it to pressure if you don't have any redraws, which was your case. Omaha is a game of position, so I would've played the hand much more carefully since you were out of position. Like you said afterwards, I think it wouldve been better to just call and then reevaluate on the river.

Because this is a very "middle-of-the-road" Omaha hand.

Partly I don't raise pre-flop because everyone will call anyway, and I'm happy just to take a flop with this hand. Kings do not do very well by themselves, especially in a multiway pot--if I were openning with this hand, I would raise, no question. But from the SB, I think limping in gives nothing away about the strength of my hand and allows me to see a cheap flop since I'll be in bad position the rest of the hand.
Looking back on it, the best play was probably calling the re-raise on the turn and folding (albeit with some cursing and ranting) on the river when that diamond hits. I should have put him on that straight plus a re-draw, or a set plus a re-draw, in which case I'd still only be about even money.
