Idea about poker books... |

The recent transaction that was just completed in a diff thread for Hellmuth's book leads me to this idea...
What if people here trade poker books that you've already completed, and once you're done with that one you trade it for another one.
Anyone interested? Think this is a good/bad idea?
Did you know that participating in a poker forum can help you improve your own game? Be it by sharing experiences or simply asking for help, participation in a forum helps you focus and keep 'on topic' which will help you improve your game. You can learn from other players feedback and from their experiences. Why the THP poker forums? We offer one of the best managed texas holdem poker forums available, and the community within is far more friendly than those typicaly found on other sites. We've made a 'lurkers edition' of the poker forum available here on Holdem Poker Online, but we encourage all visitors to register and join in on the conversations on TexasHoldem-Poker.com

Good idea. But the problem is, I'm a pack rat when it comes to books. I hold onto them forever. Literally. I have books here that I've been holding onto for 30 years.
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, anyone? Hell's Angels? Foundation?
I'm sick, I tell you.

I'm the same way. I have a hardcover copy of "A Canticle for Leibowitz." Not sure of the printing date.

Not much beats a good read and a nice little library. Makes me feel somewhat accomplished to have a big bookcase full of stuff I've read.

I don't read nearly enough as I want to, but I'm a packrat too... I don't(didn't) even sell back my textbooks from college. In fact, I have probably twice as many college textbooks than the number of college courses I actually took.
This is probably a good idea, but I will honestly say that I will not partake. My copies are MY books, you fools, stay away.

I'm overly protective of my poker books... even the ones I'm not finished reading.

Oh, my. That's awesome. I have the paperback in a box somewhere. But a hardcover copy? Sean, you are god.
I do, by the way, still have the hardcovers of Dangerous Visions and it's sequel, Again Dangerous Visions. Probably haven't opened either one of them, though, in 25 years.
